Personalities from Berlin politics

A special highlight this year is the participation of high-ranking personalities from Berlin politics:

• Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner
• District Mayor of Spandau, Frank Bewig
• Sports Councillor of Berlin-Mitte, Benjamin Fritz
• Deputy District Mayor of Spandau, Dr Carola Brückner
• Member of the Bundestag for Spandau and Charlottenburg North, Helmut Kleebank

Representatives of the Landessportbund Berlin (LSB) and the Bezirkssportbund Mitte will also be attending the tournament. Their presence will enrich IKAT Berlin and draw special attention to the sport of karate in the capital.

The organisers of IKAT Berlin 2025 cordially invite all visitors to be part of this inspiring tournament and to experience the dynamics and values of karate at first hand.

We are very enthusiastic: interest in the IKAT BERLIN has continued to grow, with almost 900 registrations from over 60 clubs in 19 countries. This impressive number highlights the importance of the international exchange and sporting competition that our tournament provides.

Final preparations are in full swing. The entire organisation team is doing its utmost to ensure that all participants enjoy the best possible conditions and an unforgettable tournament.
