INTERNATIONAL KARATE TOURNAMENT BERLIN
With impressive energy and a strong international presence, IKAT BERLIN 2025 entered its second round on 3 and 4 May – and impressively confirmed that this tournament has quickly become an integral part of the karate calendar.
IKAT BERLIN continues to grow
A special highlight this year was the participation of high-ranking guests of honour from Berlin's political scene. The Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner, the District Mayor of Spandau, Frank Bewig, the Sports Councillor of Berlin-Mitte, Benjamin Fritz, the Deputy District Mayor of Spandau, Dr Carola Brückner, and Member of the Bundestag Helmut Kleebank lent the tournament special prestige with their presence. Representatives of the Berlin State Sports Federation and the Mitte District Sports Federation also attended the event, underscoring the growing importance of karate in the capital.
Athletes from numerous countries demonstrated impressive performances, great fairness and a deep connection to karate on both days of the competition. The award ceremonies, held in a separate room for the first time, provided a fitting setting for the successes. Each award was photographed and published on our website – a lasting memento for all participants.
We would like to thank all the athletes, clubs, referees and the many helpers whose commitment and passion made this tournament possible. Their dedication made IKAT BERLIN 2025 a special experience.
With so many positive impressions and valuable experiences, we look forward to the coming year with great anticipation. IKAT BERLIN continues to grow – and we look forward to continuing this success story together.
