INTERNATIONAL KARATE TOURNAMENT BERLIN (IKAT BERLIN)
With a wave of enthusiasm and a sea of talent, the first International Karate Tournament Berlin (IKAT BERLIN) celebrated a successful premiere.
The opening speech reflected the extraordinary response that the tournament generated in the karate community. With over 600 participants from more than 60 clubs and 14 nations, the event was an impressive showcase of sporting fervour.
A big thank you to everyone who put their trust in this new tournament.
A big thank you to all our supporters! The SC Siemensstadt, the Karate Club Shanghai, Shindokan, Empi, the Polizei SV Berlin, Toruko Berlin, Zanshin Berlin, the Fight Academy Berlin, the Budo Akademie, the BTSC and SBJ Sportland deserve special mention. Your commitment has made it possible to achieve the seemingly impossible.
We would also like to thank all those who helped tirelessly with the registration of athletes, as referees and as helpers with the organisation.
When the competitions began, the athletes took centre stage. Their passion for karate brought them together at IKAT BERLIN. There were no losers on this day, because every participant was a winner - the love of sport and shared success was celebrated. The athletes showed their skills, their dedication and lived their passion for karate to the full.
IKAT BERLIN 2024 is now over, but the memories and inspiring moments will remain in the hearts of everyone involved. We look forward to continuing this success story next year. Until then, keep the joy and spirit of karate within you.
